Not about how Trump supporters are going to feel betrayed but about this trick. Whether this particular thing was staged or not, things like this do happen, and it's extra sad when nice, kind people are taken advantage of specifically because of their niceness and kindness.

I do see the parallel, of course, but I feel enormous sympathy for people like the guy on the bike, and not so much for voters who did what they did deliberately.
