"I thought I was going to commit suicide" - Charles Brotman after being fired by the orange asshole.

President-elect Donald Trump's team decided not to call upon the services of the inauguration announcer who has worked every parade for the past 60 years, according to a local Washington station.

Trump is choosing not to use Charles Brotman, 89, to announce his inaugural parade — breaking with decades of tradition that began with Brotman's first inaugural gig for Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1957.

Brotman told ABC News’ D.C. affiliate he was “heartbroken” to learn he wouldn't be announcing what would have been his 12th inaugural parade.

“I’ve been doing this for 60 years,” Brotman told WJLA.

“I was destroyed,” he added.

.....Trump's not worthy of an inaugural parade, let alone an inauguration. Consider it a blessing in disguise.

He's been the announcer for 60 years. He's in his senior years now and inaugurations only come around every 4 years.

about the U.S. ambassador to Canada. He was told to pack his bags and be out of his office by Jan. 20. He said he offered to stay a while and assist with his successor's transition into the role but never heard a word back.

The message was clear: beat it!

Anyone else would have kept this guy out of respect for a longstanding institution that they are just a temporary steward of. This is just one guy, but Trump is likely to decimate our democracy in every conceivable way.

She said last night that she'd gotten more response about that story that anything she'd done in a long time. And that the DC local affiliate (I can't recall the call letters) called him and hired him to be their announcer.

NICE shot across the incoming's bow, and he's over the moon!
