On Sunday a rally will be held in Warren MI to support the defense of the ACA.
The rally was going to be in a college auditorium, but the response is such that it will be held outside.
Who is headlining this rally? Sanders, Schumer, Stabenow and Peters.
What were the odds that the response would be so large that the venue would need to be outside? 100%
The forecast is for sun and temps in the 20s. I will post some pics Sunday evening.

(6,931 posts)I think this rally is just the start of some pretty epic protests that are going to occur in the near future.

(22,308 posts)Stabenow and Peters are our Senators, so they are expected to show up for this kind of thing. I will be surprised if a couple Congresspersons and local Mayors don't pop in too.
Sanders and Schumer are national figures though. Why Warren MI?
Not that I am complaining.

(59,501 posts)I assume Michigan was chosen because we need to win back the rust belt. I assume each state will have local people leading. Here, we have David Zuckerman, the new lt governor.

I guess I am just surprised that this is happening in my backyard. I wish I had known it was going to be such a big deal here earlier. I would have had better signs made. Thinking it would be inside, I didn't go all out. Now I need to recycle some old ones for the big event.
My bad.
