But, nothing is the same. So many people are no longer thinking rationally. Perhaps they never were?
Everybody at the carnival wants to play the 3-card monte. They just like to gamble.
As the wheel spins behind them, and the cheerful music surrounds them, they stagger from one tent to the other, looking for the gypsy to tell their fortune.
But there is but one fortune to tell.
Beware those that gain your confidence to steal your money. They are the con-men that talk the loudest, and walk the proudest.
In a moment of weakness, so many followed the viper into the garden.
Hopefully soon, the truth will lift their heavy eyes to the light?

(110,913 posts)They know they've been diddled for decades, they are just really unclear about who really did the diddling. The fact that their AM radios and preachers might be lying to them blows their circuits right now. It won't once the bricks descend.
Sadly, that is going to happen. It always does.
Funny, I've just never understood gambling, punching buttons on machines and flipping cards and watching a wheel go around. It all looks like work to me, useless activity with little reward. I can't help thinking of Skinner boxes full of pigeons compulsively pushing their levers, not even bothering to eat the occasional food pellet that pops out.
