I’ve finished compiling a vast list of the best progressive voices I found on Twitter. I did not take this task lightly. We need powerful voices which are authentic, brave, and talented, but who can also summarize hard-to-understand language in 140 characters. Not a small task at all. I’ve selected 80 writers who are up for the task.

Please understand there are many more incredible voices out there. This list only includes those authors who are in my own “Twitterverse” & those who were nominated by my circle of friends. Please, feel free to add more excellent writers in the comments. I’ll add them to a future list. Why did I make this list? First, I’m not a paid journalist. In fact, I tell most people I’m just a country girl with a pile of post-it notes. So, money was not a factor. In a world of uncertainty & fake news, I wanted to compile a list of writers people can trust and support & read the news in everyday language. A place we can go to find the news we can share with friends, families, and relatives who need help understanding what’s happening around them in the world. This was not a popularity contest.
