every action they take needs to be countered. when they celebrate we protest, when they want to compromise we tell them to go to hell. This is was needs to be done to save the party otherwise we will never see another Democratic president.

Trump has forfeited any right to expect national unity on that day.

to skip out on an inauguration? You don't have to make up an excuse, you don't have to make an official announcement - just find something else to do. Since it's on a weekday, how about going to your office and doing your frikking job?!

Trump is illegitimate.

Keep repeating that over and over.

That should be our primary message until the public begins to accept it.

Everyone should call their 3 national representatives - 2 senators and 1 house member - to advise them to boycott this inauguration.

Then make separate calls to express any support for any cabinet nomination that has been made.

Use the guidelines in the Indivisible Guide. Use this link if you don't have one yet!

Resist!

This should be an easy choice. Express your regrets. Say you're having the dog groomed that day. "Can't miss the big lawn mower sale at Home Depot." Of course, it would be better if everybody stayed away and said it's because of the personal attack on Lewis, but that's probably asking too much.

Four justices skip State of the Union address

Four Supreme Court justices were absent from Tuesday's State of the Union address.

Justices Sonia Sotomayor, Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas and Antonin Scalia were not on the floor of the House for President Barack Obama's primetime address on Tuesday.

Sotomayor was also absent from the court on Monday. Alito, Thomas and Scalia also skipped the 2013 State of the Union address.

In an infamous moment during Obama's 2010 address, Alito was seen whispering the words "not true" during Obama's speech. Alito's reaction came after Obama criticized the court's 2010 Citizens United v. FEC decision during the speech.

After that speech, Alito complained publicly that the justices were expected to sit in the House chamber "like the proverbial potted plant" and that it was now an awkward experience.
