Red Dawn is on again

This movie was rarely on prior to around a year ago. Now it's on at least twice in the last week. They keep showing the old one, not the new one.

1. It was on a lot doing the bush years

2. Entertaining but rediculous movie. A handful of high school kids

defeat a foreign invasion with hunting rifles.

8. Only until they got hold of RPGs and Kalashnikovs

When you have a gun in a combat situation, you use it to fight your way to the next gun, or at least its ammo.

Ultimately they lost because of improved tactics and mounting casualties, but they were not forgotten.

3. You know what was an even more ridiculous movie? "Red Dawn II"

You know, the one where a Russian dictator manipulates the American election to install the President.

Absurd!

7. For a great and accurate history lesson/refresher

watch "All the Way" with Bryan Cranston, et.al. about LBJ's first couple of years in office after the Kennedy assassination. I remember that era quite well and the movie and the acting are spot on.

The Republicans, many of whom were called Dixiecrats, have not changed in decades. The Dixiecrats, vintage so-called democrats, are the WORST of the Repukes today. The movie is absolutely fantastic!
