Poll question - how long until Trump et al has us in a war? By war, I mean something on the scale of the Iraq war or larger.
Please try to provide serious predictions.
My vote is all out trade war within 1 year and military conflict during the 2nd year of his presidency, partly precipitated by said trade war.

(17,107 posts)Or maybe it'll be one of those new kind of wars- cyber war; trade war; dollar war; the North East Electrical Grid is destroyed . . . Of course, Iran is the Platinum Standard of what they're aiming for. Keep driving warships through the Strait of Hormuz while ratcheting up the provocative behavior 'till a Gulf of Tonkin Incident happens - sounds like a recipe for a real nice war there, The Donald.

(36 posts)The Chinese are too smart for that. I predict a US/Russian alliance that gets boots on the ground in the Middle East and parts of Africa.
China will sit back and exploit any opportunities that may arise from this as they occur.
