Trump first president in 150 years to not have a pet in WH?

Washington: Donald Trump might be the first US President in 150 years to not have a pet in the White House after a plan to have him adopt a goldendoodle dog fell through.

With Trump's inauguration on January 20, many are left wondering if his family will have a pet residing with them at the White House. If not, he could be the first president in 150 years without a pet.

The Trump family does not have a history of keeping animals around the house and there is not any indication, at least, not yet.

Plus, his kids kill endangered animals, so pets are probably off the table. Who knows what the psycho spawn would do with them?

Pets give love and affection which I would think Trump would like, but you also have to care for them. I don't mean feeding and such, he could have people for that, i mean love them back. Trump only loves himself, with the possible exception of one of his daughters!

Maybe a pet would take away some of the attention that trump craves. Certainly he couldn't being himself to feed a dog, walk a dog, etc.

He has said changing diapers is women's work.

It would push every anger button he has. Now imagine Trump dealing with some big friendly mutt, who shows him unconditional love, treats him like a king, satisfies every childlike longing for love, companionship and acceptance he has never known but has blindly searched for his entire life. Suddenly, he becomes close to being a stable human being. I think he should have a dog, but under strict supervision, of course.

There was a thread about this several months back, about the abundance of Whitehouse pets over the years, and none moving in with Trump if he won. A sociopath would only adopt a pet for appearances sake, and then have nothing more to do with it.

His adoption of a dog, "fell through"? The dog opted out? Interesting that it was a GOLDENdoodle!

most often, her husband is First adviser.
The WH will be used most for entertaining foreign friends and sleepover rewards for 'trump loyalists'. Trump can meet with people off the record in that tower, he can't in the WH.
