I Might Be Crying On Inauguration Day And I May Never Stop For Who Knows How Long.

All of this is so damned painful. It is as painful to me as the time I had to do body ID in a tent with 30 bodies April 2, 1968 in Vietnam near Khe Sahn. It was the day I lost my Battalion commander, 3 guys and my West Point Captain from Bravo 1-5 1st Cavalry Division. It was a horrible horrible day. And to get shelled the same morning on top of it.

January 20 means to me that it probably was all in vain. If the Republican leaders all dropped dead I would probably celebrate. Sorry but I cannot take any more of this twisted shit. May Trump GOPPERS all rot in hell.

NB. My captain's name was Nawrosky and was a West Pointer and a sure 4 star general. He was a young and bright leader.

Decades have passed but your courage in battle is no less significant now compared to then. I hope you have people you can confide in to share your pain.

I also hope you realize that promoting the idea of having political opponents drop dead, celebrating it and wishing them to rot in hell is counter to what we should be promoting as liberals. Yes, the Republicans have many ugly ideas and policies. We resent them for it because we know they will not benefit that average citizen. But how can we claim any moral high ground if we espouse such hostility and ill will toward them? Let's remain above the fray while strongly advocating for better approaches.

Cheers!

I also can't stand the thought of Trump being sworn-in. My loss is not comparable with yours; however, all the work of my career and my fellow workers all over the world is being smeared by this ignoramus. I will not watch his ceremony on TV, but instead will watch a channel that will interrupt for breaking news. My hope is that before he is sworn-in, the DOJ will serve him with an arrest warrant for treason.

Especially for those, like yourself to fight for the freedoms of this country. While I do believe that we in for a major setback, I don't believe your, and others' sacrifices were all in vain. It will force us to rise up, to stand together, to demonstrate, to march, to protest, to get involved and to DEMAND. This we MUST DO...for the sanctity and preservation of our country and citizens.

"I don't see any connection to Vietnam..." It was all in vain though, the Republic of Vietnam doesn't exist any more.
