The hope, the inspiration and the patriotism I felt in 2008 added 10 years to my life. I am not sure where to go from here but I am going to hang on to some of that hope. We as liberals and progressives and sane folk must pull together and I think we will. I believe we are a sleeping giant and much like 2008 we are going to surprise a lot of people. There is something happening out there. I feel it in my bones.

Be grateful that we have had eight long years of such grace.
Be grateful that he is leaving the White House as a healthy man with his soul intact.

Say a prayer: that he and his family will live long and productive lives.

They are mixed with tears of gratitude for having been blessed to live in an era when I could bear witness to the unprecedented leadership of this man and his wife.

I would have rather have had Lawrence O'Donnell do it, and could certainly have done without that whiner Eric Cantor.
