3. Will He Take the Pay?

This makes me wonder if at some point we may find out that even though Donald Trump has said he will only take a salary of $1 per year he will take the full presidential salary. I wonder if after being criticized for not following through on his promise he will claim that he is doing such a good job and working so hard he has decided that he deserves the full salary.

4. Well, POTUS gets a salary and it covers living expenses, at least for ordinary people. The staff....

....mostly stays, though some families hire a special chef and some (like Nixon) bring their own valet.

But here's the thing about those staff people: they consider it an honor to work in the WH, but they are not slaves and they can walk out any time they please if they are mistreated.

Every POTUS before this has understood the basics of the living arrangements for the job. Not this PEEOTUS. He intends to live in and work from his Golden Tower as much as he possibly can, his glowering face seen in the closing frame of his golden elevator doors.

His life is all transactional, all business of a certain kind, all a long con. He knows nothing of governance, nothing of the Constitution, and cares even less.
