Would it be beyond one of these interviewers to do what a statement like that's crying out for?

- "So, Mr. Trump, what was it Lincoln did that was very vital to do at that time?"

You know what? I think he'd reveal himself as Palin in drag. If he didn't just try to bluster his way out of it.

For context, here's the run-up to Woodward's question:

BW: Any . . . . Before coming over, Bob and I have had lots of chats. And we were thinking about this, that you are running for the nomination in the Republican Party.

DT: Right.

BW: Which is the party of Lincoln and the party of Nixon. . . . And so we have this party that you are running to be the nominee in, and it’s got two heritages. Lincoln and Nixon.

DT: That’s true. That’s true.

BW: And why did Lincoln succeed? Thought about that at all?

So it's a guilty pleasure of sorts.

I'm afraid Sandler hasn't grown up in terms of his acting though, but that's on him.

It's a great quote though. It works so well in many occasions.

movies, 50 First Dates the better of the two. He did that odd drama, I think it was Punch Drunk Love. He was good in that. I think he does OK. Those are the only movies I've had any interest in though, so can't comment on his other work.

He did a third with her that wasn't really all that good, though.

He hasn't done anything worthwhile in recent years. Just a few direct to Netflix movies and some other forgettable dreck like the Grown Ups movies.

But at the beginning, he was at least trying. Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore have some genuinely laugh-out-loud moments. I still always crack up at the Bob Barker fight scene.

And if so, I wonder if he thinks he sounds like as much of an idiot as the rest of us do or if he thinks he sounds brilliant. I really don't know how anyone with an IQ over 70 could read those words and not believe they are anything but the ramblings of a total moron.

like picking up the phonograph needle and dropping it randomly on the record. It is words strung together in a sentence but one clause has absolutely nothing to do with another one in the same sentence. I wonder if he even HEARS how ridiculous he sounds as it is tumbling out of his pursed lips?

this know nothing stumbling through an interview and keep a straight face? Don't the follow up questions write themselves as he leaves a meandering trail of nonsense? How do you not cut him low after an answer that reeks of total ignorance of the topic? If that was an opening to an essay test, he should get a big, fat F!
