The Energy Of Split Of 1 Uranium Atom Equals 15 Million X Explosion Of 1 Nitroglycerine Molecule

Also the critical mass of the 1st A bomb was the size of an orange. This information came from a PBS special by BBC on the history of explosives. Now just think the Rick Perry will be leading the agency responsible for our nuclear weapons.

I guess the horse is out of the barn, but they shouldn't have told him about the nukes.

Energy and Natural Resources Committee.
Dem members: Cantwell, Wyden, Sanders, Stabenow, Franken, Manchin, Heinrich, Hirono, King, Duckworth, Cortez-Masto.
The questioning will be brutal.
It should be very, very entertaining. I'll be watching.

In the book Command and Control by Schlosser, Eric, if I remember correctly, less than 10% of the material actually went critical.

that is truly a holy shit thing to ponder.

basically it gets to the point of detonation prior to all the material reaching critical stage, blowing up the remaining material.
