I remember walking into my college professor's office the day after the 1980 election when we lost the Senate and the presidency and he said it "feels like NAZI Germany, circa 1932." He was being facetious.

Those were the good old days. I can remember chats and social occasions with professors outside the classroom where we could speak our minds.

That anecdote stays in my head. The other anecdote that stays is my head was watching a prof grade papers and he said about one student "he didn't write the first f--ing word." I never heard someone in a position of authority drop an f bomb and I thought it was hilarious.
