“Once President-elect Trump is sworn in, incoming First Lady Melania Trump will tweet from @FLOTUS,” a spokeswoman for the First Lady-elect told Vanity Fair in an email. “She is thankful for Mrs. Obama and all of her followers and looks forward to connecting with them, while welcoming new followers and speaking directly with the American people through social media.”

This means that Trump will inherit the FLOTUS account’s 6,508,703 followers (as of publication). Trump currently has a mere 717,237 followers on her personal Twitter account, @MELANIATRUMP (yes, all caps), so she’ll be tweeting—or rather, her staff will be tweeting—to a much wider audience come Friday. It will be interesting to see if the account loses any followers when Obama, a massively popular First Lady, leaves the White House with an approval rating of 68 percent, per a Gallup poll.

I can't even bring myself to think of her as FLOTUS. It totally disgusts me.
