It feels like the ground is shifting.

And not in a good way.

Chump has selected people who wish to undo a centuries worth of protections that govt agencies help people protect. These people hate these agencies.

Everything in my lifetime I have accepted as a truth or norm is now negotiable.

It is frightening.

I can see everything being up for grabs including AADa, FMLA, the Voting Rights Act, Title Nine and even the Civil Rights Act, itself. They'll swing for the fences.

sanity that have gone before us. We should not assume that we are so weak that we can't rejoin the struggle, just as so many have done. Are we so weak?

Why should we assume that the benefits of democracy should be ours without the effort? Are we just consumers of democracy? Democracy is not something you have. It's something you do.

I almost feel like this HAD to happen to get us off our butts and away from the Kardashians. Life isn't a spectator sport.

we are in unchartered waters with a drunk captain and an inept crew. I'm especially upset that I heard that Trump wanted tanks and missile launchers in the urineaugration parade. Next thing you know, he'll show up at a parade in a gaudy, glitzy uniform.

And I think we should never refer to him as the president...rather the precedent.

They are going to dismantle the government, and sell its assets off to the billionaires, including themselves. Just like what happened in Russia.

Good night America. Last person out the door, please turn off the lights.

It feels like we are going from civilization to madmax in the thunderdome.

BUT I take solace in knowing that to get to this point we saw some incredible changes in our collective psyche. We saw LGBTQ obtain rights and social acceptance (maybe not entirely, but an awful lot) and a black president. That's huge. Maybe it was too much for the narrow minded. But like all cycles, this darkness will end. And it will end sooner than later. We just need to stay focused and stay together.
