Toronto Star Reporter Tweets the Idiocy of Inauguration Attendees

Daniel Dale, the DC correspondent for the Toronto Star, tweeted pictures of inauguration attendees along with their comments about the new president. These people have invented a version of him which does not exist. They live in an alternate reality we do not want to ever visit. I bet you can guess their common trait, besides being unfathomably stupid. These people scare me.

Well NG, there is actually a remedy that can get through to all of the very most stupid, fear. One of the things that the Democrats need to do is prepare for a real panic that will set in once those idiots in the "swing states" realize that when the GOP talks about cutting benefits, they intend to do it to their pale asses as much is all those brown people that Trump was promising to punish. The turning point for 2018 will be all those people who realize that their Medicare and Social Security is in jeopardy, and that they're going to lose health insurance because Republicans want to kill the ACA without a replacement. We need to focus on 2018 because as high as the GOP is riding at this point, America makes the midterms a referendum on where is in the Oval Office and will often let the party as a means of restraining the guy the Oval Office. We know that two years is more than enough for Donald Trump to dig himself into a hole, and the one thing that will help us fill the dirt is the image of Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump ready with shovels to bury grandma. Fear does cure stupid some of the time; yes Fox News will be there to try to keep a stupid in place, yes MSNBC will pretend not to be a right-wing media organization, some of the box has more time to rob the henhouse, and yes those big old churches will try to reinforce things because despair and fear of what keeps those buildings lit. And you know what, if enough people that voted for Trump all the sudden panic, none of that will do Mr. Trump or the folks in 2018 any good.

No you can't fix stupid, but when you mix it with fear you can make it productive, the GOP certainly has. There was a time I were really shady to say those words, that when I really believed that what was wrong with America to be fixed by what is right for America to quote Bill Clinton. Those days may come again, but not before we win the new civil war, where the destructive, uses ideas of the GOP are finally shamed, blamed and discarded.

Many claim that he is honest. I suppose there is an honesty to his racism and bigotry, but the man lies even when there is no real reason to do so. (I.E. A friend asking you, "Do you like my haircut?" when you don't, but what can you say to not hurt their feelings ). He lies when the truth will actually make him look better.

He isn't wishy washy? He has taken multiple positions on the same issue in the same day, same speech, same sentence.

My favorite: "is always willing to admit he was wrong after he misspeaks" except he never admits he misspeaks. He just attacks the people reporting his own words back to him.

These people are utterly without a clue as to who they elected.

27. YES!!! And I really wish we could get the term alt-universe
Fri Jan 20, 2017, 03:04 AM

into common usage.

The alt-universe is a world where facts only exist to support to pre-existing beliefs. Any information that either threatens to change or weaken those beliefs has no reality in the alt-universe. This is regardless of empirical information in the form of the written world, audio recordings or video documentation. NOTHING MATTERS IN THE ALT-UNIVERSE BUT MAINTENANCE OF THOSE BELIEFS. Any thing presented that threatens those beliefs will be attacked and anyone who presents information is considered a threat and if they persist in presenting information that threatens those beliefs they may find themselves attacked ranging from humiliation up to actual physical danger.

This may seem harsh and it may seem judgemental and I invite any of you to disallow me of my beliefs.

That statement alone illustrates the difference between living in a world of painful reality or living in the alt-universe of delusion.

They only see politics through the view they are presented on the nightly news, for the most part. Think back to how essentially positive the MSM was to Trump and the millions of dollars worth of free press they allowed him. It's easy to see how so many were brainwashed. Add into that the racists and bigots and you have yourself an election win.
