Off. Then on. Off again.

Seeing reports of violent protest I switched on the teevee. Sure enough, they were showing it. Having a number of friends who went to DC I grew concerned. Then, MSNBC started showing other scenes of the parade route, lots of peaceful protest signs. And one of my on-scene friends just started posting pics on Facebook, pics of respectful and decidedly non-violent protest.

Yeah, I know, “If it bleeds it leads” governs media coverage. Which makes me doubly appreciate any media effort to show the non-bleeding.

The teevee will now be switched off, as they are now showing the luncheon where the All Republican Congressional Castrati Choir is performing their paean to their new master. No, thanks.
