750,000 people attending Women's Rally downtown LA. Organizers expected 80,000.

Some 750,000 people flooded the streets of downtown Los Angeles Saturday morning to march in solidarity with the Women's March on Washington, according to organizers for the event.

Event organizers for the Women's March-Los Angeles say the day is designed to unify communities and make a stand for "justice and equity for all."

The mission statement for the march reads in part, "We stand together in solidarity for the protection of our rights, our safety, our health and our families -- recognizing that our vibrant and diverse communities are the strength of our country."

The march comes a day after Donald Trump's inauguration. Although it appears nowhere on the site for the event, the march appears to be in direct response to the election of Trump. But organizers have to be clear to point out the march will be "pro-woman" rather than "anti-Trump.

I think they were inspired by the east coast ya know? I had been watching the Boston and NY marches along with DC and the time difference probably helped and the decent weather! Well done!

Saturday was a perfect Los Angeles day - clear skys, temps low 60's. Absolutly perfect day for a march. The weather godesses were smiling.

Um...there was a hell of a lot more than "over a million" L.A. Times.
At least they dedicated the front page to the protests. I was a shocked about that.

I've read the crowd scientists estimated the idiot's inauguration attendance was around $160k, and the Women's March in DC was nearly 500k. 750k blows that away. Amazing!!
