CNN wins. They didn't broadcast Spicer's media rants live. The WH reporter came on after

and gave an update about it.
Filtering the bullshit that comes out of this White House is crucial to all news
They knew Spicer wasn't taking questions so it wasn't news.
MSNBC showed the whole thing live and Brian Williams went 'gosh aw shucks' after it.

If they want better ratings for their news coverage, and still provide actual information, whenever someone for the Trump administration is talking, someone in the control booth should have this ready each time they lie:

Women's March on Washington. Both he & Lawrence O'Donnell were looking at each other on how to report the "unique" press report without pissing off the bosses. Especially enjoyed the twinkle in LO'D eyes as he was reporting on what went on in the CIA presser.

No, they both knew it was NOT normal.

I nodded along when he was giving his report on Spicer, Trump and the crowd size. It's true, and I know it's going to inflame Trump, which gives me some small joy. Plain, and simple.

I do realize I'm in full 'enemy of my enemy' mode, but I'm not sure I care all that much at the moment.
