5. A park service guy said they think it was at least 900K. As you know, the park service . . . .

. . . . is not supposed to quote numbers for fear of being seen as "political", because the snowflake, candy assed republicans might be seen as less than us. This guy was at a park service (what looked like a) command center truck parked near the Smithsonian Castle. He was dressed like a groundskeeper as opposed to a cop. Take it for what its worth.

I can say that from our perspective inside the crowd, this was HUGE. Compared to the Million Mom March, which occupied much of the same real estate, this was orders of magnitude bigger. I'd guess a minimum of 750K but it could have been way larger. We went from Union Station to Washington Monument and back. It was crowed for 3 or four blocks on tighter side of the Mall. That means a dense stream of marchers on the Mall, on the two streets hard against the Mall, on Constitution and Independence, and a street or two further out. That's a LOT of people.
