Scary times, it seems like we're going backwards on so many important issues that we made progress on long ago...

Celebrities Join Women’s Marches Around The World in Solidarity

A long list of politically active A-listers hit the pavement to lend their voices to the growing chorus of citizens who’ve vowed to resist Trump’s presidency.
Stars like Amy Schumer, Lena Dunham, America Ferrera, Chelsea Handler, Jessica Chastain and Katy Perry were all in attendance to march under the banner of human rights for women, immigrants, the queer community and more.

Much of the celebrity activity was centered around Washington D.C., where an Artist Table was formed, featuring “a diverse group of celebrities who will participate in and join in solidarity.”

Several versions of "They tried to bury us. They didn't know we were seeds."

"I can has rights" (cat photo included)

"Does this ass make my sign look big?"

"We'll go when Melania does"

"We the Pussy"

"This wouldn't happen at Hogwarts"

"Slytherins against trump"

"You can't combover science"

"Can't believe we still have to protest this shit"

and

"My other car is a Vulva"

The L.A. march was FANTASTIC! So incredibly MELLOW! Mellow was a wonderful descriptive word for it. All day long I saw upbeat people, congenial, friendly, peaceful, enjoying what they were part of. SO reaffirming and validating! Tens of thousands of kindred spirits and fellow warriors. Just an outstanding way to spend a day of activism. The rain let up the day before so everything was nice and dry. Everybody got along, everyone had fun, drum circles were WAY too cool, and I bet every last person there felt refreshed and even possibly a wee bit hopeful - because of what WE could do together. And you KNEW you weren't alone. This was actual, physical, tangible in-person proof. Misery loves company. Encouragement does, too!

A real emotional pick-me-up. All day! Sure was a tonic for the dispirited.
