staff planted there. The press pool said the clappers were sitting along the sides and no one knew who they were. Also, I don't see the CIA as enthusiastic hooters and hollerers.

If actual CIA people really did clap and cheer, it would have to be because they were a self-selected pro-Trump cohort, like the NYC cabal in the FBI that fed info to Giuliani.

...that Trump had staff with him (applause); and that attendance at this meeting was voluntary, which meant that only those who like Red Don were there (applause); and finally, she phoned a contact within the agency who said CIA people are predisposed to prefer those who live in the fact based world, and most of them don't like Trump (sad).

with them wherever they go.

They don't just bring people in uniforms, they bring people in uniforms who know when to nod in agreement and clap on cue.

Trump is doing the same, though so far none of them are wearing uniforms.

People seated in front were unmoved. Clapping came from the sides and back of the room, probably part of Cheeto's entourage.

It's amuses me that Cheeto and/or his handlers think people would believe spooks are likely to demonstrate their feelings, whatever those might be.

They are paid staffers.

Someone needs to turn the cameras on them and reveal the charade.
