About the DC crowd estimate

Please look at a map and at pictures. The march was on the Mall. And maybe on the Mall it was 500,000, although it felt bigger.

How many were on the edges? There were barriers along the mall, inside Jefferson and Madison Places (the streets immediately at the edges of the Mall) left over from yesterday's corona . . . inaug . . . . er . . . . install . . . . uh . . . . power grab. Because of those barriers, the streets were initially crowded only at cross streets.

By the time we left, the Mall remained as senses as it was, but that density extended over Jefferson and Madison and out to Independence to the South and Constitution to the North. In some places the crowd spilled out even further.

750,000 would not surprise me, but even if 500,000 proves the final estimate, it was one hell of an event!

Suck it, Donnie.
