want to add that 250k is low ball. you can fit about 150k in grant park. this spilled all over downtown, and train platforms all throughout the region were packed w disappointed marchers.
considering that the transit agencies geared up for 150k, and were overwhelmed, and considering how many people that system is capable of carrying, i am saying bare minimum half a million. more like a million, even.

1. Lawrence kept saying 100K for New York, which was total bullshit. It was triple that or more.

There were 26 blocks of people (that's about a mile and a third), packed in tight, walking for 7 hours with staggered starts. No way that was less thank 300k or more.

i was wondering, tho. one of the speakers asked people to send a text to sign up to keep it going. i'm betting that number was swamped.
would sure like to know what that easily and accurately available number is.

I begin to suspect if every resident from NYC and the surrounds marched up 5th Ave (which is what yesterday felt like) they would say it was 100K
