Canadians, Britons and travelers from France denied entry to US to attend protest or inauguration

I guess we'll need to figure out a way to build a wall along the Canadian border too.

Kind of like Game of Thrones - "what house do you fight for?" The wrong answer could get your throat slit.

Montrealer Joseph Decunha was also turned away for “administrative reasons” after he told a border agent he planned to go to the inauguration and the Women’s March in Washington.

"The first thing he asked us point blank is, 'Are you anti- or pro-Trump? It felt like, if we had been pro-Trump, we would have absolutely been allowed entry,” he told the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.

I started to just write "Brits" but couldn't think of the short version of Parisians. Pars? So I quickly added more letters. Wrongly, bigly.

Passports have been required to cross into Mexico or Canada for several years (and other countries long before that). (2007 for public transportation entry; 2009 for foot traffic or private car.)

You do, I hope, realize it was sarcasm. "Any jurisdictional border" would include you leaving your town or county and going to the next one to go to work.

Yes, I know passports are required to go to Canada or Mexico. My own passport is well used.

The post was pure sarcasm and you're dissecting it for facts. Sometimes sarcasm is just sarcasm.

Have a nice day. Sorry you're not seeing it.

Maybe it depended on where they crossed into the US.

At the end of the CBS article, it said border agents don't need to explain why they detain people and have jurisdiction to do it when ever they feel it's needed. So it's possible there was a bigly Trump supporting border agent helping to make sure America is made great again by keeping out the riff raff.
