Just saw the article speculating that Trump may be looking at canceling funding for NPR, PBS and the national endowment for the arts. I'm just thinking we are likely to be in for a series of stunning legislation aimed at gutting all corners of government. What I'm saying sounds obvious. You are probably saying well of course we know terrible shit is coming.

But it's one thing to anticipate it and another when they start ramming legislation through. Because the former is rage inducing in speculation. The reality of the later is fear and shock inducing. It will feel like multiple body blows.

Somehow, and I'm not quite sure how, we all must rise up and continue to ensure that those organizations near and dear to our heart don't crumble under Trump. So, those who are on "our side", the people's side, must help to make this happen. Put their money where their morals are. And perhaps this might be a perfect mission for The Obama Foundation. To generate entrpreneurial spirit to keep this organizations alive. Micro-loans and businesses to help fund the organizations we care about.

5. Well, you're missing one important point

WE know it's coming. WE know we'll have to adjust, adapt, and cope as best we can, but WE will have the benefit of advance planning.

THEY are going to be in for one shock after another as things they count on in their daily lives are going to go away because rich men don't need them. THEY are the ones who are going to get the body blows out of the blue.

So keep your eye on these bastards, especially the ones in the House. Plan accordingly. Get rid of as much debt as you can. Hunker down with good books to read and good friends, at least online.

And remember, sometimes it has to get truly horrible before it starts to get better. Too many people need that brick wall to fall on them before they realize something was wrong with cheapass construction.

6. The American People should look at holding major protest rallies every Saturday.

You can pick the cause of the week to protest. The point would be to maintain ongoing pressure on Trump and the Rebpuclican Congress. Keep the pressure up and maybe the mid-term elections might go better for us. This is the time that we might see younger rising stars in the Democratic Party. We need a deeper bench.

Every time NPR has one of those horrible fund rasing drives, I get mad again at the repubs back in the 80's and 90's who started the defunding process.

Even if drumptf weren't in office, if the repubs had control these things are going to happen.
