Some thoughts on Trump trade policies.

Recently it has been reveled that Trump is pulling out of TTP and is going to attempt to renegotiate NAFTA. It remains to be seen how successful he will be in affecting trade because he has a Republican congress where most of them are free traders. On other issues, he is showing no interest in raising the minimum wage, and no recognition that there is an income disparity problem in this country. If he does manage to get more manufacturing jobs in the US, what are they going to pay - Minimum wage?

He has no idea what trade policy changes would help the country or its citizens. That is so beyond his intellect, and he has no desire nor capacity to learn. He will do whatever his current favorite sycophant advises, and that will change as he gets bored and starts listening to a different ass kisser. The United States will not be taken seriously on the world economic stage and we will get shut out almost completely.

that in their opinion the minimum wage prevents businesses from hiring unskilled workers.

So in other words, they want to evict Mexicans and be able to pay Americans $4/hr to harvest crops and clean hotel rooms. That's their plan for job growth - If they can hire Americans cheaper, they can hire 10 workers for what they'd pay one a decent wage.

That will hurt jobs in mexico which will increase immigration from mexico. The wall will not stop it. Do trump voters understand that? No.
