Marbles have multiple uses in a wide variety of areas. Vets use them, they're art decoration, some people use them in cooking and much more.

The way these were packaged makes me think they were being transported to another facility for further repackaging for various needs.

To me this looks like the load may have shifted and he lost control. 38,000 also includes pallets and bins. It's a full load just under regulations.

Fortunately, no one was hurt.

I'm guessing it was imported from China or some other place where environmental regulations don't add to the cost of making glass from raw materials.

This is the stuff that's melted down to make other glass products. Marbles are easily handled by automated equipment compared to rocky chunks of raw glass.

Such marbles are $200-500 a ton on alibaba.com. Twenty tons is the minimum order.
