Even if Trumpsky does release his tax returns now, I won't believe they're real.

He'll publish some b.s. summary, or redacted version at best. Why should anyone believe him at this point? Everyone knows he has something serious he's trying to hide. He's isn't being audited, he's got some talented staffers figuring out the best way to publish favorable numbers which hide his criminal activity.

Again, why would anyone believe him now?

of a court order. They would have to be turned over through discovery. Putting out something doctored or fake would be committing a fraud on the court.

And is in violation of the Constitution on Day 1. I doubt he'd care if someone charged him with fraud. He probably thinks he can just pass an executive order or fire all the judges and get away with it. But then, with McConnell and Ryan helping him out, he might just do so.

which means that there's something embarrassing even at that level.

eventually he effectively acknowledged that he has paid zero taxes for a long time.

What if somebody leaks fake tax-returns?
Oh the outrage, oh the humanity... oh the gnashing of teeth when it gets revealed that the liberals have been played.

- "Haha! Those damaging tax-returns weren't real! They were fakes! Trump's tax-returns are super-duper terrifi..."
- "Can we see them?"
- "What? No!"
- "But with all the controversy, wouldn't now be the best time to clear this up once and for all?"
- "No! His tax-returns are fine! They are nowhere near as scandalous as those fakes!"
- "But... you know... there are rumors... rumors that all the fake scandals are actually true..."
- "This is outrageous! Not only have these tax-returns been proven wrong, you even insist that we keep talking about this topic!"
- "Well, you could destroy the liberals and their evil, fake rumors once and for all..."
- "STOP IT!"
