The time is now 1:30 PM EST, delayed from the original 12:00 PM. Who knows when it will actually happen.
I wonder if this is going to be another scolding lecture from Spicer to the press or a real press briefing with questions. Guess I'll have to watch it.
You can watch it at the link below, live, when it finally happens:

(42,641 posts)Interesting how paid liars like Spicer and Conway can feign outrage when they are caught in their lies.

(1,685 posts)If he's going to a podium to make lies that can be easily disproven AND he won't take questions, what's the point?
Being a member of the press doesn't mean all you do is take dictation. Fuck Baghdad Sean.

White House spokesman Sean Spicer is scheduled to give his first "official" press conference of the Trump administration at 1:30 p.m., ET, Monday. ... Spicer's appearance before the White House press corps is his first after blasting reporters on Saturday evening over what he called "deliberately false reporting" by some media outlets about the size of crowds at President Donald Trump's inauguration the prior day.
"Photographs of the inaugural proceedings were intentionally framed in a way, in one particular tweet, to minimize the enormous support that had gathered on the National Mall," Spicer fumed that day.
He went on to claim that "this was the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration period both in person and around the globe." Spicer left that short press briefing without answering any questions.
Spicer's claims were undercut by timestamped aerial photos showing much sparser crowds on the Mall during Trump's inauguration than the crowds that gathered for Barack Obama's swearing-in as president in 2009. ... Washington, D.C.'s transit system also reported lower ridership on the system in comparison to Obama's first inauguration.
