by Josh Feldman | 2:16 pm, January 24th, 2017
White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer affirmed today that President Trump maintains his belief about widespread voter fraud in the election.
Trump yesterday repeated his unsubstantiated claim to congressional leaders, hence the multiple questions Spicer got about it today.
He continues to maintain that belief, Spicer said, based on studies and evidence that people have presented to him. He repeatedly stated that Trump has been shown past studies an information that have raised his concerns about voter fraud.
NPRs Mara Liasson jumped in a bit later to tell Spicer that if this was true, it would be the biggest scandal in American electoral history. And so, she asked, if Trump really believes this to be the case, why wouldnt he want an investigation into the election results?
Spicer said, Maybe we will
Well see where we go from here, but right now the focus the president has is on putting Americans back to work. It was a comment he made on a longstanding belief.
