Score One Political Victory For Chuck Schumer On The Third Day Of The Trump Administration.

I just wanted to give credit where credit is due, to a guy who doesn't often get credit.

Trumps UNHINGED performance at the CIA on Saturday was meant to be the swearing in ceremony for Mike Pompeo, complete with fake cheering section in the front four rows. But Schumer pulled a trick, delaying Pompeo's confirmation until Monday; leaving Trump in the position of having to AD LIB a speech at the last minute. Definitely not his strong suit.

Score one for Chuck Schumer!

He's in with around 33% of Dems voting for him. Torture rises.

He's taking a page from the great Tip O'Neill's playbook: give an appearance of cooperation and resist behind the scenes.

I posted a link a couple days ago of him talking about Trump. He said yuge twice instead of huge. I watched it carefully several times. Someone posted back to me saying that's just how New Yorkers talk.

Perhaps, but I am a native New Yorker, born to native New York parents who lived there a good portion of their lives, and two sets of native NY grandparents who lived there all their lives, and I never heard them say yuge, even with their accents. And Schumer wasn't rambling or talking rapidly. He was very precise with his words.

The point being that in Schumer we have an intelligent, amusingly sly man who will slide in the small digs whenever he can in addition to openly leading the fight.
