CNN committing serious JOURNALISM this morning!!

They are calling out voter suppression in response to the phony voter fraud issue. They totally silenced Santorum in his BS claims that non-active voters on the rolls are voting fraudulently. they went into the discussion armed with the numbers

I was actually pretty impressed.

3. Ask Greg Palast about voter suppression
Wed Jan 25, 2017, 08:59 AM
Jan 2017

On Tuesday, we saw Crosscheck elect a Republican Senate and as President, Donald Trump.  The electoral putsch was aided by nine other methods of attacking the right to vote of Black, Latino and Asian-American voters, methods detailed in my book and film, including “Caging,” “purging,” blocking legitimate registrations, and wrongly shunting millions to “provisional” ballots that will never be counted.

Trump signaled the use of “Crosscheck” when he claimed the election is “rigged” because “people are voting many, many times.”  His operative Kobach, who also advised Trump on building a wall on the southern border, devised a list of 7.2 million “potential” double voters—1.1 million of which were removed from the voter rolls by Tuesday. The list is loaded overwhelmingly with voters of color and the poor. Here's a sample of the list

for posting this. I just can't understand why the national Democratic leadership is not going after this stuff. If Trump wants an investigation, then the Democrats should demand crosscheck be part of any investigation of voting irregularities.

I humbly suggest that we use HIM as the torture test dummy for testing the effectiveness of these torture methods. It is torture and should not be called anything else. As Orwell pointed out in his seminal essay "on politics and language" the use of such innocuous sounding terms to hide the horror of the underlying acts only serves to corrupt society and make the perpetration of such acts more likely in the future. I suspect Joe boy would be singing a different tune after about 5 seconds if he could last that long.

Republicans understand that voter demographics are not in their favor, so they cheat by pushing the bogus idea of voter fraud to enact voter suppression. It's pretty much the only way they can win elections.

Greg Palast cannot find a regular media gig here and that tells us a lot.

MSNBC and CNN are doing better but I hear nothing about CrossCheck, which among other things gave Dubya Florida and thus the White House.

It should be a huge, huge story. The right is giving media an opening with all this talk of voter fraud. There is massive fraud alright but not by the left.
