A "wall" exists and it doesn't deter much. This is a con.

President Trump will order the construction of a Mexican border wall on Wednesday http://nyti.ms/2k0ZyUr

"will order." All bark. No change. Already neatly 1k miles of wall: most of rest is rivers and mountains. And he's punting on DACA.

There (already) is a wall. @800 miles... Lot of rest is mountains/rivers; impossible to build

The question tomorrow is: where will the wall be built. Ask for place, state, coordinates. Is it land, water, mountain. Has TX objected.

Juliette Kayyem ?@juliettekayyem 9h9 hours ago
Who pays for wall is secondary. There is no more wall to be built. Red States, tribal and geography are barriers to building more. Not Dems

Almost all of Arizona's border with Mexico already has a barrier. Interested to hear what kind of exec order is issued tomorrow.

Thoughts from TX lawmakers on the wall. Mostly, they don't want it. https://t.co/XhnOnSTAqr

@juliettekayyem I grew up in NM and it's a problem that most don't understand a "wall" exists and it doesn't deter much. This is a con.

I've driven along the U.S. side of the Rio Grande on a week day, and had a number of people emerge from the river, run across the road in front of us, and easily scale the 6' wall there in El Paso. So.....Trump is going to build a 20' high wall?
