Beware the shiny objects while Trump and the GOP fuck us

Three millions “phony” vote counts against Emperor Trump? "Non-legitimacy" as an accusation against Emperor Trump? "Lies" being spread about Emperor Trump?

Those are a just a few of the shiny objects that the “news” is reporting.
Understand this. It’s all a distraction. It’s all a “shiny object.” It has nothing to do with reality. It is total bullshit.

(By the way, so is his fantasy Mexican wall that the Mexicans will pay for. Perhaps we will build a few miles at countless billions of dollars, but it will probably turn out to be a yellow "Do Not Cross" ribbon.)

While we are all paying attention to this shiny object regarding “Three million “phony votes” garbage that is being thrown in our faces, the GOP and their (Orange front man) are busy doing things that matter. Things that fuck us all.

What things? The GOP and Trump’s evil elves, are confirming unfit candidates to cabinet positions. Laws concerning Obamacare, Medicare, Social Security, and every other humane policy that Democrats strived for decades to put in place for the American people, are prime targets of the Republican Party and their sick ideology.

Once everyone figures out that Trump is nuts, the GOP will impeach him and and elevate their "true believer" into the presidency: V.P. Pence. And who knows where they’ll go from there?

But there’s on thing the Republicans didn’t count on. While he’s still president, this Orange Creature “owns” the nuclear codes. And that’s something that no one else can control.

So what if their GOP “front-man-maniac” can be used to enact their wet-dream agenda? None of it will matter as long as he is in charge of the most horrifying weapons that have ever existed.

The Orange Monster and the GOP are turning America into what many people believe to be hell.

And here we are, virtually helpless to put out the flames.

I hate to sound so negative, so would some DUer please jump in here with an "exit" that leads back to a sane world.

Place a completely deranged buffoon in high office to bedazzle the masses as they are quickly disenfranchised as humans with rights to life or anything else. I predicted this would happen through systematic devolution of democracy waaaay back in 2005 when W was the buffoon in chief while darthcheney raped a few nations for profit. They created the template for this. and now we are "there".

There was an essay entitled "US Enroned by W" back then which found stated my understanding pretty well. I tried to google it and post it but was not having any success. I may have saved it somewhere for the future in which we have now arrived.

But here we are. And what do we do about it?

Fighting Trump and his GOP allies who are scared shit to go against him, is a war we can't win on their terms.

Democrats built the American "safety net" over years of Republican opposition.

Building something worthwhile takes decades. Destroying it takes minutes.

We are now facing our worst nightmare. And I for one, don't know how to stop them. Only the millions of Americans who voted against them have that power. But what's needed is some "call to action," and I have no idea how to do this.

Does anyone?

protection, within reason. I'm sure there's plenty of polonium to go around... Best to give them an exit strategy if they do the right thing... not a massive reward but some kind of sanctuary that is acceptable for the protection.

Education is the number one tool we have to make this country whole again, assuming that it was at some point. I somehow ended up earning most of my pay the past several years as an outreach and education worker... I have learned that you can sure help people decide to think if you can relate your point to their immediate world. I have learned to engage people at work with whom I would never have thought I'd have a conversation about sensitive issues. I am very tired at the end of the day but I manage to convince people to think about their immediate safety in an unfamiliar and dangerous place.

I guess we need to be educators, in the best way we can, to help people recognize that nobody else should decide their fate for them and that means getting involved.

to forcefully support pivoting the election issue away from "voter fraud" to election infrastructure problems such as hacking into the equipment, gerrymandering and other suppression tactics.

They were aware of that report that just came out ranking the US as teetering on the brink of not even being a valid democracy, that was great to hear.

are taking notice

I guess I'm too much of a cynic. I tend to go along with H.L Menckens' statement that "No one ever went broke by underestimating the intelligence of the American people."

That's a cynical statement that, in years past, I wouldn't/couldn't believe in, and tended to disregard as someone who didn't believe in American decency.

Today, I believe he was right on. And probably a bit too kind.

Under Trump, America is about to become a very ugly place. And it's a place that all of us MUST resist with whatever limited resources or assets, body, soul that we possess. The alternative is unthinkable.
