Maybe the congressional GOP want to give themselves cover for the inevitable blowback from these hostile actions.

that his Imperial Highness has deemed them vestigial and they will rebel. The sooner that little war starts, the better.

He could increase deportations and try to stop immigration of Muslims all by himself. The New York Times published an article about it months ago.

And if Elected: What President Trump Could or Couldn’t Do

It depends on what Mr. Trump wants to do. His signature issues are immigration and trade. He could not build the Mexican wall without congressional support. But he could order immigration authorities to deport unauthorized immigrants.

And he could bar Muslims from entering the country under existing law, which authorizes him to bar classes of aliens whose entry he determines “would be detrimental to the interests of the United States.”

wants to start construction on the bullshit wall. Well that is lovely, but he can't just order federal dollars to be spent with out Congressional approval.

Everything he is doing won't hold up to the laws in place. The Piss Poor prez. seems to have forgotten there's is an actual Constitution, which he just swore an oath to uphold. Hmmmm. Will Reince and Repeat wrangling this menace in to his time out chair??

January 4th: Senate Republicans voted to raise the national debt limit to $29 trillion. They approved an added $1 trillion in deficit spending every year for the next 10 years. They set in stone Borrow and Spend as POLICY (just as Bush-Cheney did) and abandoned all pretense that they'll make any attempt to address the deficit and balance the budget. This is the complete opposite of what they have all said over the last 8 years to their voters. Every one of them campaigned on getting the budget under control and even as they cut out entire departments and programs. They lied, and press isn't pointing it out.

This is also in complete contrast to Obama's policy of addressing the deficit and bringing it down. Despite what Moonie News propaganda has led so many GOP voters to believe.

Maybe they could call it "Operation Rope-a-Dope" in Donnie's honor.
