Cinematic reference:

I've been thinking that this whole trump thing is cinematic at heart, scary as hell, but "A Face in the Crowd" didn't quite seem my best reference. My partner and I were just talking, and "The Caine Mutiny" came up.

Greenwald destroys Queeg at the trial but at the party proves that Queen was a mensch who was over his head.

Keefer was the coward who got others to to mutiny and becomes Captain but disgraces himself by calling for a precipitous abandoning of the ship after a Kamikaze attack.

I would go with something like Ducksoup.
