4. Oil: $14 billion
5. Medical, technical equipment: $12.2 billion
6. Furniture, lighting, signs: $10.8 billion

This will also affect large and small business owners, parts suppliers, manufacturers, etc. that voted for Trump. Wait to see some of these "non-Walmart shopper" (?) Trump voters come out against it, especially if the sole purpose is to build a stupid wall. The "Walmart Shoppers" that you seem to be referring to would most likely support it, if the money went to building the wall they desired and believed in.

But call it whatever you like. We agree it is another horrendous idea.

If they themselves will have to pay for it every time they buy food and clothes for their family, probably a different story.

Those that voted for Trump because of his conservative fiscal policy (whatever the hell that really means), Christian values hypocrisy, potential Supreme Court picks, etc. will be the important ones to watch. They never believed he was actually crazy enough to follow through with the wall, and now it will affect them and their businesses and jobs.

But, hey, the more people we can get to open their eyes to what Trump is actually proposing, the better.

Why not call it a retail tax. Why not include Target and other retailers? You would capture a wider range of demographics rather than singling out people who you possibly incorrectly presume to be trump supporters.
