Over the years I've noticed a rightward trend with these.
Does anyone have links to articles detailing why this has happened?

(27,804 posts)They just report the news. They also host lots and lots of programming that is not news related and are pretty vital to many of the communities they serve.
Their listeners and viewers remain the best informed of any other media sources.

I cringed listening to the RW slant... astounded to read DUsers lamenting her retirement.

(27,804 posts)I realize it may be a lot to ask, but they are in dire danger right now of being de-funded. Please, call and write your local stations about coverage if you must, but it's really a national treasure and even those of you who are knocking it now would miss it if it was gone. If they lose their funding, your local stations will change drastically.

These are my go to NPR radio/podcast shows. Have not seen any bias in their programming, if anything lean left.
They are also PBS tv shows, which are wonderful and bring high drama and documentaries into our homes.
