They just report the news. They also host lots and lots of programming that is not news related and are pretty vital to many of the communities they serve.

Their listeners and viewers remain the best informed of any other media sources.

10. Go to fair.org. NPR PBS use RW think tank guests FAR MORE often than others.

Worst offender ... Diane Rheme (now retired).

I cringed listening to the RW slant... astounded to read DUsers lamenting her retirement.

I realize it may be a lot to ask, but they are in dire danger right now of being de-funded. Please, call and write your local stations about coverage if you must, but it's really a national treasure and even those of you who are knocking it now would miss it if it was gone. If they lose their funding, your local stations will change drastically.

I remain committed to them. I want information ... I don't want a liberal or conservative spin on the information i get.

They are far from perfect but they are the best we have.

On the Media
All Things Considered
Fresh Air
On Point

These are my go to NPR radio/podcast shows. Have not seen any bias in their programming, if anything lean left.

They are also PBS tv shows, which are wonderful and bring high drama and documentaries into our homes.

seem to offer really good, factual, on point, relevant discussions with good panelists. Most times of the day when I tune in there's reasonable discussion.
