February 6th The New Yorker cover image (Rosie meets diversity meets pussy hat)

Source: The New Yorker

There was a lot to be said about the Women’s Marches of January 21st—New Yorker writers discussed their humor, the radical possibility they represented, and the togetherness of the event.

“I went to the march in Augusta, Maine,” Abigail Gray Swartz, the artist behind next week’s cover, said. She used her artistic skills to make signs and a cape. “I marched for all those who need our support, for equality and diversity. And, even if I couldn’t take them with me, I marched for my three-year-old son and for my six-year-old daughter. I was there for them.”

I will be looking for the magazine, myself. I may even step into a Barnes and Nobles to find it!

although my laser printer is only black and white it still looks awesome. I'll use it until I find the magazine.

I'm not so sure if in black and white it isn't better

Joy Reid this morning? One of the participants in a discussion of the "March for Life" was a woman named Kristen Hawken (sp) who represented the "pro life" faction. Worth watching as it is text book ultra conservative methods, shouting, interrupting, and lots of "alternative facts." Several times asked to follow the rules-to no avail! Thank you Joy for not letting her run wild and so clearly summarizing her statements.

But, we must all learn how to deal with the methods employed by the opposition.
