Now that I've seen and heard David Brooks on PBS Newshour, I'd like to go back to the thread someone started about him earlier. I didn't think to bookmark it and it hasn't been archived by Google yet. Can the OP or someone else steer me to it?

(30,481 posts)He isn't a foolish flamethrower. The segment with Shields and Brooks on the News Hour with Jim Lehrer was something I looked forward to. He sees things like they are, hasn't been happy with his party for some time, and is the exact person Bush was initially going for with his promotion of compassionate conservatism.

I read a great one by Michael Gerson the other day.
Jennifer Rubin has been brutal.
George Will left the Republican party over Trump. He has some great attacks on Trump.
and the Washington Post, which tries to print a variety of views on the op-ed page, said they have been unsuccessful in finding a conservative commentator that supports Trump.
