When I found out I was horrified.. I couldn't wrap my head around all the unbearable suffering that that the hitler monster created.

Germany warned us about trump in January 2016.. of course we didn't listen.. too much email "news" to report.

It's about being turned from an individual into a number. Remember, first these people's jobs were taken from them, then their homes, then often their country, and then they became a mere number in a camp.

My parents friends were lucky. Most of the people who were numbered were ... you know the rest.

Though theirs is the most egregious and well known case of such.

My Croatian grandparents had to have them along with a passport to travel about the Austria/Hungary Empire they were part of 100 years ago. All ethnic minorities had to have them.

Hitler as I'm sure you remember was Austrian.

And, now the USA is doing it in the name of trump. Germany warned us about him in January 2016, Did we take heed? Those who sat home or voted for stein? No.

first generation American, and neither my grandparents (born late 19th century) nor any of their siblings had them. They did travel but I have no knowledge of specifics beyond that. My mother married a Hungarian (my father, who would be >100 yrs old) which was quite a scandal as my grandfather was governor of Croatia at the time, and clearly they were not fond of Hungarians!

I'm interested to learn more about this and will research, but if you have any historical references to point me to I'd be grateful.

I'd love it if they could also have a West Coast operation in action to implement a type of fifty strate strategy (on steroids). I am available to work as I've had epiphanies that my life's work needs to be my passion whIch is activism.

Nobody in the US knew them personally. His maternal grandparents immigrated to escape the Russian pogroms, which is another (horror) story altogether. But we all knew of them, the ones who stayed behind in the supposedly tolerant Germany.

Sat Jan 28, 2017, 02:06 PM

get up and ask - "Mr. trump, how soon will you be sending crews over to the Statue of Liberty to chisel off the plaque on the front of the pedestal - the one that says "give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free..." ? How soon will you be doing that, to underscore your new closed-door policies?"

At EVERY step, I would like to see embarrassing and uncomfortable questions asked - that are net losers for the trump side, making them look bad, making them look UN-American, making them look traitorous and treasonous to our Constitution.

Make them look BAD. Stir shit up. Pick at the scabs til they break open and ooze and get infected. Underscore - obviously and subtly - how harmful, unconstitutional, and literally anti-American and UN-American and utterly DAMAGING their policies are. Cast them in a bad light. Infer negative things. Accentuate the negative. Start casting these policies in a VERY bad and unfavorable light. Weaken their resolve AND public support. Start fomenting doubt that these cockamamie ideas of the trump people make any sense at all.

Chip away, people. Chip away. Anywhere you find an "in."

I wrote something here quite awhile ago whose title as I recall was "think termites." THINK TERMITES. What would termites do?
