Republican Sen. Rob Portman: Trumps Immigration Order Was Not Properly Vetted

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/rob-portman-trump-executive-order_us_588dfce3e4b08a14f7e6865f?

Republican Sen. Rob Portman (Ohio) criticized President Donald Trump on cable news Sunday for leaving Congress out of the loop in his decision to temporarily bar entry to all refugees and individuals from seven Muslim-majority countries.

“I think [the executive order] was not properly vetted, so you have an extreme vetting proposal that didn’t get the vetting it should have had, and as a result, we’re seeing some problems,” Portman told Jake Tapper on CNN’s “State of the Union.”

It went from Bannon to Trump to the world. No State Department input, no Homeland security input.......

He belongs in a (stair-less) white padded room, not the white house.

of its plans by anyone. So, no such review took place. There should have been a review by the State Department, the Attorney General's office, and the military. That's the normal process. Trump is doing nothing but signing whatever Steve Bannon hands him.

That's a recipe for disaster, really.
