(146,192 posts)1 train to the end of the line and walked over to view the Statue of Liberty. Then, I got back on and rode it back to Columbus Circle, near where I was staying. The entire reason for that subway ride was to view that landmark.

(63,221 posts)I am a bit surprised that Boston is not on that list. However it's good to see that Canton, NY is - that is where I went to college and I am glad to see that they are politically active on the left.

(31,319 posts)According to the fb post, over 1,000 people expected to attend. The airport has opened a special parking lot--with $5 parking and shuttle--
for the protesters.
So far--as of yesterday--there hadn't been anyone detained. We have minimal international flights (London and Paris) and flights from
Toronto have people clear Immigration and Customs there before boarding the plane.
