CNN had Breitbart editor Joel Pollak on this morning who said that one or two

more Breitbart staff (editors I think, but maybe a writer too, iirc) would be joining the National Security Council eventually.

Wow. Breitbart people, more of them, on the National Security Council (along with Bannon, and doormat Pence leading the meetings).

He just put it out there, and it was just glided over by the interviewer, and honestly, I didn't realize what he said until 30 minutes later either.

This was on the show Reliable Sources. (I was cleaning kitchen facing other way from TV, and wasn't paying that close of attention at first ...if somebody can find a clip, would be greatly appreciated.) The initial question posed to this guy was to try to understand Breitbart's readers and radio audience, and who makes up Breitbart's staff and editors. That little blockbuster was thrown out mid sentence somewhere.

Somebody talk me off the ceiling.

Because the way I see it, if I have this correct - two more loathsome unhinged, very likely UNVETTED radicalized rightwingers who despise our government, and currently work as editors or writers for a two-bit, racist, sexist, xenophobic Nazi #FAKENEWS website with ZERO qualifications are going to be leading voices sitting in the highest level, most classified meetings about security and intelligence movements of the most powerful nation and military in the world - - but Bannon/Trump had decided that the Director of National Intelligence (with intelligence updates from the 17 IC depts) and Joint Chiefs (with military assessments and strategy) were deemed unnecessary in most meetings?

These are the people who decide when and where to toss the bombs, right?

This was a fucking coup and they want to tear down the world.

There is a protest at 1pm today on the National Mall in DC to #StopPresidentBannon

On edit: just want to add, that maybe I don't have this exactly correct, that Pollak MAY have said casually that two more would be joining White House staff or something, but even that would also set my hair on fire (with the Breitbart faction becoming more powerful than even Ivanka/Jared or Priebus/Ryan factions) ...especially with the Twitter rumors that Reince Priebus is going to decide again about resigning today when he finishes up Meet the Press. I don't care for Preibus all that much, but at least he represents a mole from the establishment Republicans.

are going to do it, so it is up to the Democrats:

All they have to do is withhold consent:

"Senate Democrats have a powerful tool at their disposal, if they choose to use it, for resisting a president who has no mandate and cannot claim to embody the popular will. That tool lies in the simple but fitting act of withholding consent. An organized effort to do so on the Senate floor can bring the body to its knees and block or severely slow down the agenda of a president who does not represent the majority of Americans."

Please make it stop. I never fully understood the expression "hair on fire" until this past week. I am terrified and disoriented—which I am aware is exactly how they want us to be. So I fight the urge to remain unhinged with everything I can think of: distractions like endless games of solitaire, work (on which I am having tremendous difficulty concentrating on), mindless movies, engaging novels, etc.

We must not lose our minds. That is what they want.

We are all certifiable now, and you are so right, the fun and games is to keep us wheeling backwards on our heels as we try desperately to remain standing erect, and it ain't "normal" and we don't like it!!

But I think that as long as some part of our gasping psyches know that's what "they" want, then we can by god remain upright.

We're ALL "frazzled" now, eh?!

to do their jobs.

As Bill Maher said Friday...all this crap might come down to what the republicans in congress want to do. A sprint toward world confrontation? Who can stop it other than the republicans?

Does world war III depend on one or two republicans in the senate and a handful of republicans in the house? Can mainstream media and pundits and journalists start to connect the dots of nearly all the WH actions this last week and discern a big picture before it's too late? This is happening fast.

someday someone in the "reality-based" mass media will get around to plumbing the connections between Breitbart and Putin, and the magnitude of what we're up against and why it's designed to be especially resistant to democratic efforts to stop it will become apparent to all (who care to observe).

The two are Breitbart immigration operative Julia Hahn and Breitbart’s national security propagandist, Sebastian Gorka. Hahn is expected to join the White House as an aide to Bannon. Gorka will also relocate to the White House, likely with a spot on the president’s National Security Council, according to Business Insider. Neither has much relevant experience.

More on Gorka:

Sebastian Gorka, the Breitbart national security editor and a Fox News contributor, is expected to join President Donald Trump's White House, a source familiar with the matter told Business Insider.

The source said that the position is likely in the National Security Council. A Fox News spokesperson said the network terminated Gorka's contributor agreement when he informed executives of his new position.... more

First, let me say that some years ago I also went to look at porn on the internet, just to see what the hub-bub was all about. That took about 5 minutes. But just thinking I needed to go look at this site as well made me feel much more shaky and dirty than looking at a porn site.

If this is what is making national policy now we are in even more trouble than I thought! I was scared before but now I am horrified.

I have never in my life had this thought, but can Australia help us now? They have scary animals but their systems seem to be working better than the US right now!
