2 more going to NYC Battery Park Protest

Just called my mom, who lives in Chelsea NYC. She didn't know about the planned protest in NYC today, but she and her husband are headed there now.

She promises pics. I've been on DU since 2003 and still haven't figured out how to post pics, but if I can, I'll share later.

LOWER MANHATTAN —Mayor Bill de Blasio and several other city and state officials will join demonstrators at Battery Park Sunday, continuing protests against President Donald Trump's executive order.
The protest is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. Sunday at the west side of Castle Clinton National Monument. Organizers plan to march to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection office at One World Trade Center.
Several state and city officials, including Mayor Bill de Blasio and Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, is expected to attend the protest. De Blasio wrote on Twitter he will be there "to stand up for our city's values."
The event is co-sponsored by 12 organizations including the New York Immigration Coalition and New York Civil Liberties Union.
The organizations are calling for the end of Trump's executive order that bans refugees from entering the U.S. for 120 days and ones coming from war-torn Syria indefinitely. Citizens from seven Muslim-majority countries — Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen — are refused entry to the U.S. for 90 days.
