or have a good feel. If we're still getting demonstrations a year from now, I have hope.

I fear we'll have an OWS ending, which would be too bad. Meanwhile, I hope the current energy level at least helps Dems in Congress to stand up and fight. Wouldn't bother me much if a few red state congresscritters started looking over their shoulders, too, but that's a tall order. The coverage so far has been fairly good, but it's real easy to get the media off chasing some new shiny object.

The other thing is the organizing. If that happens and we grow the party with some folks willing to do the work, we'll have a shot.

many ways. People are tired of the GOP lying and certainly don't want white supremacists in charge and are also fully aware that it's going to take a huge number of us to counter their voter suppression/voter purging efforts.

folks who didn't vote because Bernie didn't get the nom.

Maybe that is cynical of me but protest, at least for me, gives me kind of a high or rush that needless to say local and state and congressional runs don't...those are like going to the dentist. This is why I am not rushing out to protest. Kudos to those that are, but my most paranoid state of mind thinks it wouldn't be beyond this evil admin to 'throw' a terrorist attack in a few days and then blame it on libs/protestors. Things are so insane right now nothing at all would surprise me.

Demonstrators hit the streets for a few days,
and then, feeling good, went home for some hot Chai tea.

it is such a high to protest but this admin is going to turn a deaf ear to it more than any other before it.

I absolutely hope they vote for candidates that will beat republicans.

A wave of "anti-establishment," "both parties are the same," "why vote for the lesser evil," "why vote GOP-lite," voters who help perpetuate republican control would be devastating.

Hopefully Trump is the clue-by-four that people needed to prove that the parties are not the same, and that the GOP must be stopped.

Don't strike me as being part of the subset of Americans who can't be bothered to vote.

Yes, they'll vote. I'd bet most are regular voters.

I think the question is will the people who are sitting at home watching these acts of defending democracy and the constitution...will THEY come out to vote?

Something big is happening...I pray it's good-big.
