How's that for irony?

The one country that has engendered a terrorist that attacked the US since 9-11 was Russian.

Why isn't Russia in the Ban List?

According to Trump

My grandmother came from Syria. (Armenian Christian)
She was deported from Ellis Island due to either quotas or trachoma. She had an infant and was married to a US citizen. She eventually got in. Mexico took them in the meanwhile.

4. Not a fan. Partly due to the fact that he was such a fan of Ayn Rand.

Gibney’s message is drilled in hard, falling just short of heavy-handedness: Be careful of companies and people that purposely convey an image that may run contrary to their real values. Apple has long defined itself as a company of the counterculture, an image bolstered by Jobs’s hippie-ish persona in his early days, as well as his trips to India and his experimentation with psychoactive drugs. “Steve Jobs purported to be acting the values of the counterculture, but I think really what he was doing was using the style of the counterculture while advancing the values of Ayn Rand,” said Gibney.

or easy to use computers at all.

Sure, some of those innovations have been mixed blessings, but my point is that blanket bans could be keeping out valuable skills and visions.

Xerox invented the GUI, Jobs just stole the idea. Smartphones would've happened anyway (along with touchscreen technology). Jobs never invented or innovated anything, he just took credit for other people's work and ideas. (This isn't any kind of argument against allowing refugees and immigrants from Syria et al, I think this ban is stupid and immoral, but your points here are nonsense.)

his contribution to US industry and employment was significant and benefitted the country despite his obvious faults.

The two people to have the most impact on the US in the 21st century had fathers from Syria and Kenya.

so I can't truly engage on this topic, but to be honest, I'm not entirely convinced that, all told, what Jobs did was ultimately for the good.
